Privacy
We do not ask for your voter ID, name, or phone number. We do not run accounts, passwords, comments, or ratings. Page views are counted with Vercel Web Analytics: no cookies, no accounts, and no reconstruction of who you are. That is coarse traffic (path, referrer, country, device type), not identity.
You may optionally follow a sitting MP, a constituency PIN or seat, or a Union ministry by email. That is double opt-in: we store your email address and the member, PIN, seat, or ministry you chose, then send a confirm link. Until you confirm, we will not send activity mail. We hash the address for lookup. We do not sell it, and we do not publish who follows whom. We do not ask for a phone number for this follow.
After a confirmed follow, we may email a digest when that listed public record changes — a new listed question, a new listed MPLADS work, or a change in the listed Union Budget Estimate for a ministry. A PIN or seat follow may also get a sitting note on a morning when Digital Sansad lists Lok Sabha as sitting, with listed questions from the current MP. House counts (debates, special mentions, private member bills) are not mailed. One digest per follow per night, not a flood. Every mail has an unsubscribe link that deletes that follow. Missing listed figures are not treated as zero, and a digest is not a score.
A PIN or constituency search is handled as a page URL on this site (for example /you?pin=). Using your location sends coordinates to our own lookup endpoint. The MPLADS works map loads tiles from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data) in your browser — that is a request to their servers, not an account with us. We do not sell that data, and we do not log it as identity.
After a successful lookup we store the PIN or constituency in localStorage on this device only, under the key ts.place, so a return visit skips the form and reopens your people. Coordinates from “Use my location” are not stored; we remember the constituency that point resolved to. A language preference (English or Hindi labels) is stored under ts.lang on this device only. Nothing is sent to a server. Search again, then clear the place chip, switch language in the header, or clear site data in the browser.
Draft letters on a person page open in your own mail app, stay on this device if you copy them, or print / save as PDF in the browser. We do not receive the letter. An RTI draft is starting copy for the official portal; we do not file it, and we do not send it to the member.
MPs' contact details, assets, and cases appear because they are already published by Parliament and the Election Commission — not because a citizen submitted them here.
